Bio-Chemistry Processes Course #1

SKU: 0001 Category: Tag: Course: Bio-Chemistry Processes Course

Biochemistry Processes explores the fundamental chemical processes underlying biological systems. Students will delve into the molecular mechanisms governing life processes, including metabolism, molecular biology, and cellular signaling. In order for students to understand the role of plant-based nutrition on the overall health of our bodies we need to first understand the biochemistry processes. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of how biomolecules interact and function within living organisms. This course must be the 1st course taken to become a Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist.

Course Objectives:

  • To understand the structure and function of biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates.
  • To explore the mechanisms of enzyme catalysis and regulation.
  • To understand the role of hormones and their functions.
  • To examine the central pathways of metabolism, including glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation.
  • To investigate the principles of molecular biology, including DNA replication, transcription, and translation.
  • To analyze cellular signaling pathways and their role in regulating cellular processes.
